On XX/XX/2024 at approx XXXX XXXX I transferred a payment from mXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX account to my Citibank account ending in XXXX. ( see attached ) XXXX ). {$700.00} I thought it would be a instant transfer, but they were not. My money sat in a " Pending '' status with the date I transferred XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX, I was panicking because this was almost my whole paycheck and I was using it for a down payment for a car I was buying from XXXX. So I was adamantly checking for the transfer to complete every couple hours. XXXX XXXX does not have the option to send wires On XX/XX/XXXX when I checked the transaction it was still in a " Pending '' stage but the date now said it was made on XX/XX/XXXX? I called Citibank to see why they are still holding it, but showing it in my balance? I also asked them why it says it was initiated on XX/XX/XXXX, when I KNOW I sent it XX/XX/XXXX? They told me if the transaction happened late on a XXXX it will show the date of next XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a notice ( see attached ) that my account has been locked due to suspicious activity, so I called them right away.. They had me verify my information and at the end of verifying everything correctly they just abruptly told me that my account is being closed and I will receive a letter within 30 days and IF there is any money in there they will send me a check!!!!!!??? I could NOT believe this!!! Here is Citibank a BIG BANK with BIG MONEY and here I am a person working paycheck to paycheck and now just got all of it froze for them to hold.. WITH NOT EXPLANATION or anything.. Very short and vague about the whole thing. I was so upset I called back and asked to speak to a manager.. After hold for XXXX minutes I was going through the identify verification and she abruptly stopped that and just said " They said your account is closed '' Huh!! and repeated the same about a letter in 30 days!! I felt very suspicious about the people I spoke to when I called Citibank and started thinking about my whole experience with them. About 2 months ago I had fraudulent charges with their card for XXXX and I NEVER used Citibank to pay for XXXX XXXX. After I disputed the fraudulent charges they sent me a replacement card.. The replacement debit card had NO CVV ( XXXX digit code ) on the back of it.. When I went to use it the XXXX time I was stumped but thought it was something with their bank.. But the more I thought about it NO banks even most virtual cards always have that code.. You pretty much cant pay for things online without having that.. I need my money in that account!! Citibank can't just close my account and do that!! I had a additional {$100.00} in the account before I transferred the {$700.00}, so the total balance is {$800.00}. EVEN XXXX they are sending me push notifications everyday with my balance which is {$800.00}, but I can't get access to my money.. Also just today XX/XX/2024 I received a email with my statement... But the account is closed???? I also updated my address on the Citibank app, it was changed recently due to the post office reassigning our address for XXXX directory.
