In XX/XX/XXXX I had to close my checking account and open a new account. I had my Bank of America account on auto pay and I received an email on XX/XX/XXXX saying my payment was returned which I knew was because I forgot to update my checking account. Called them immediately gave my new bank account information and set up my payment. The next month I get a notification for another returned payment so I called XX/XX/XXXX and they had my account number wrong so I updated with them but they were struggling to understand how many XXXX were in my account number. A month later I get another notification that my payment was returned so I called them yet again XX/XX/XXXX and they had the account number incorrect again. I spoke to another representative and again gave my number. Then on XX/XX/XXXX I got notification that they closed my account due to returned payments. I called them XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX and explained it was all the representatives fault not mine because I gave them the correct number. They said there was nothing they could do. I continued to make my payments on the closed account in XX/XX/XXXX and then in XX/XX/XXXX I get an email saying my payment was returned yet again. Immediately called them on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX because I cant do anything online with my payments Im blocked so I have to call. I asked them how nothing has changed from XXXX to XXXX but XXXX payment was fine now XXXX payment is an issues. No answers or explanations. They said they would find out and call me never heard back that was XX/XX/XXXX.
