This is a perennial issue with XXXX that dates back to XXXX, when I first requested to change to an income based repayment plan, which had just been rolled out. They told me then that this was not available, despite the fact that it was widely reported and advertised by XXXX XXXX. They refused. I called them out and said they were violating federal law by deliberately misrepresenting information, then they stopped calling/emailing etc. Then, a few years later, they tried again and I again summarized the past discussions. They stopped contacting. Then a few years later they tried again. Rinse, repeat. Again and again. Since that time, they've been accruing interest on the wrongfully designated repayment plan and have moved me forward into default, however, whenever I raise the old discussion, they get scared and disappear for a few years. They've since been hauled in front of congress for their criminal administration, been heavily fined, and even pulled out of federal student loan administration entirely. I wonder why? Here we are in the middle of XXXX and they have sent me another threat by email and I am again asking for the CFPB to assist with getting XXXX to dip back into their fraudulent system to to time when I called them asking to change my repayment plan ... then for them to do that and retroactively recalculate the entirety of the loan amount. I am never going to pay them {$180000.00} for a {$50000.00} loan. Never. They should be in XXXX instead.
