Around XXXX or XXXX I was first contacted by phone by Phoenix Financial Services, LLC for a debt related to XXXX XXXX XXXX ambulance services for a date of service of XX/XX/XXXX. The responsible party for the debt has the same date of birth and same last name as I do. We have the same first name but with different spellings and different middle names, and we live in different cities in the same state. I contacted Phoenix Financial Services by phone and advised them that I was not the responsible party and had no connection to the responsible party. They reviewed their account and confirmed that the information on file did not match my personal identifying information and promised to send me written documentation that I was not responsible. They never did. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from Phoenix Financial, again trying to collect for the same debt. I also received phone calls about that debt at the same time. Again, I contacted them via phone, confirmed that my name, address, and SSN do not match the responsible party, told them to stop contacting me and that I considered their repeated attempts to collect the debt from me to be harassment, and to send me written documentation that they will cease contacting me as I am not the responsible party. They did not send such documentation. On XX/XX/XXXX, Phoenix Financial sent another collection notice for this same debt to my address, with my name spelled correctly on the address line but clearly different from the name on the account that was also included on the letter. On XX/XX/XXXX or XXXX my husband received a call from Phoenix Financial requesting to talk to me about the debt. They have confirmed repeatedly that I am not the responsible party, and yet they continue to harass me and now my family members over a debt that is very easily proven to not be my responsibility.
