On XX/XX/XXXX via chat with a Citi Card agent I requested a replacement card and was told it would be mailed and should be received in 4-7 business days. When I looked again at my account it showed the account was closed. I never requested for my account to be closed! I reached out to Citi Card via phone on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to an agent who told me that the account was closed because I had requested it on XX/XX/XXXX. I NEVER REQUESTED FOR MY ACCOUNT TO BE CLOSED. I explained to the phone agent that I never requested account closure and was expecting a replacement card. They informed me that they could request for the account to be reopened but it probably would not be able to be reopened. My account balance was {$0.00} so I informed the phone agent that I wanted to file a complaint and that I would not be requesting a reopen if there was slim to no chance that it would be restored.
