I have had and still have a savings account with Goldman Sachs Marcus for over 6 years and am XXXX XXXX XXXX and have lived at the same residence for 20 years.. I have requested them to transfer a sizable amount to an Insurance company for the purchase of an Annuity for myself and my wife at a specified guaranteed date related rate. All requested funds have been in my account for years or, in the case of recent funds, they have been directly transferred in by the US Treasury and have been posted by the bank. When I called the bank to confirm the transfer the bank said they had a " security, verification problem ''. I asked what it was and they say\id they could not tell me. I gave them EVERY piece of identification they had including ss numbers, phone numbers, password, special word id, etc, etc. they literally DO NOT have any other records of identification so there is no further way they COULD identify me. This same problem has occurred with other depositors in the last several months according to XXXX complaint reports. My funds are now locked in their bank with no recourse possible by me. This delay can cause me substantial hardship financially because I stand to loose the guaranteed rate offered on my annuity for over the next several decades. they first transferred the funds then recalled them the same day for no given reason. The funds were all previously cleared and posted as being " available '' by Goldman Sachs. I have screenshots of these transactions.
