Description of What Happened : USAA is not following US consumer laws. There are several companies reporting negative items on my credit report past 7 years. This is against the law, a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), and these items should be removed immediately. In addition, I was a victim of multiple data breaches by two Fortune 500 companies, XXXX and XXXX XXXX. I was informed by both companies that my information was affected by these breaches. As a result, multiple accounts were fraudulently opened in my name with various companies, and these debts were never paid. I have taken the following actions : Filed an identity theft report affidavit with the Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ). Contacted XXXX to dispute the outdated negative items and fraudulent accounts, but no action has been taken to correct my credit report. I encourage the CFPB to investigate these violations and hold XXXX accountable. Thank you.
