Consumer Narrative

On XX/XX/year>, the company XXXX charged my debit card with a transaction of USD XXXX. I didn't notice this fraud because the bank never sent me a notification. On XX/XX/year>, this company again tried to charge me USD XXXX XXXX times. This time, I received a message from Bank of America to confirm the transaction, so I responded with " no '' in the app. Despite this, the transaction was approved by the bank, and the company charged me the USD XXXX in addition to the earlier USD XXXX. I called in the early morning of XX/XX/year>, around XXXX XXXX, to report these transactions as fraudulent because I did not authorize them. They gave me a claim number : # XXXX. On the afternoon of XX/XX/year>, I called the bank again to find out the status of the claim because I had not yet received my money back. The representative said that my claim was denied because, according to them, there was no use of aggressive force on my account and the person who made the transaction knew how much money was in the account. This is untrue because they tried the second transaction four times, and the bank approved it even though I had declined it. They also state that I continued to use the account normally after the USD XXXX transaction on XX/XX/XXXX. This was because I had not been aware of the transaction until XX/XX/XXXX, when they sent me the message for the USD XXXX transaction, which I declined. After the XXXX transaction the account had not use and I reported the transaction on time. On XX/XX/year>, I responded with a letter to reopen the claim and faxed it to ( XXXX ) XXXX, explaining the reasons why it was not me and why their reasons for closing the case were invalid. I also stated that they had violated the correct procedure. ( Attached is the fax that I sent. ) The dispute lasted only eight days before they canceled it for the reasons mentioned, which is a violation of my rights and the law. They did not give me a temporary credit for my money and never revoked the transaction from the merchant. Everything was handled internally, which is a violation because, by law, they must contact the merchant about the disputed transaction, and the merchant has 60 days to respond. This is the correct process to follow. They can not reach a decision without first completing the proper process because this violates my rights as a consumer and the laws. After I sent the fax appealing the decision, today they closed the claim again, this time without any explanation. I am asking that the correct process be followed and my money be returned because I did not make these transactions. This is an injustice and a violation of my rights and consumer protection laws.
