I applied for the Apple Credit Card on XX/XX/year> because they have a program to buy a computer on monthly installments for 0 % interest if you have the card. I was approved for a credit limit of {$4500.00}. On XX/XX/year>, I went to purchase the computer online using the installment plan, and the transaction was declined. I tried once more on a different device, and it was declined again. I contacted Goldman Sachs ( the bank that oversees the Apple Card ) and was told I would need to buy the computer flat out with the Apple Card ( which, according to the Cardholder Agreement, would subject me to the interest rate of 27+ % ), then they would convert it to an installment plan with 0 % interest. I shared I am not comfortable with that as a resolution because they are only communicating this verbally and that does not line up with the written agreements of Goldman Sachs nor the written policies of Apple. They shared that if I did this process, I would not be able to make payments in advance. They shared they can escalate it to Tier 3 support, but the resolution would take several days.
