I am writing to address a matter of significant concern regarding my recent credit report. I have received a 1099-C for the following accounts : - XXXX - XXXX - XXXX According to IRS guidelines XXXX an unpaid charge-off is considered income. Additionally, the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) stipulates that income can not be reported on a credit report. After reviewing my most recent credit report, I have found that these accounts are still being reported. This reporting appears to be in direct violation of the law, including 15 U.S. Code 1681.
