afni Subrogation Department XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, IL XXXX XXXX Www.afnicollections.com Tried to collect {$33000.00} on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX This is fraudulent and no money is owed to XXXX. I believe this company is engaging fraudulent activities. They targeted my XXXX mother, who was the driver of a vehicle that I own that was stolen and got into a wreck. My insurance company XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and XXXX worked through the process and it was determined that my mother nor I held any responsibility for the accident that the thieves caused as the vehicle was not in our possession. In short an official looking letter was sent to my mother threatening her, without any mention of me or sending me ( the actual owner and insurance policy holder ) any information at all. They are clearly trying to scam older people into paying debts that they don't owe. I called the company and explained who I was and that I know that there is no such debt owed. The hung up on me. Please make sure this company isn't doing this to other older Americans.
