MOHELA has incorrectly categorized a loan on my account when reporting data to the Department of Education. This error has impacted my overall loan payment count which will impact my discharge date by many years. I have reached out to MOHELA and the Department of Education. The Department of Education said it is MOHELA 's responsibility to fix the clerical error. When my loans were consolidated last Fall it was to take advantage of the XXXX count readjustment. This benefit allows all payments for all loans that are part of the new loan to be counted towards the overall count. They miscategorized a loan from XXXX that included loans that originated back in XXXX. They categorized it as PF ( paid in Full ) which means those loans would not be counted for the overall count ( I need to make XXXX payments for discharge ). The difference is many years!!!!! It should have been categorized as PC ( Paid in full by consolidation ). It can be seen next to the loan description. I have called and emailed MANY times since XXXX. XXXX times I was sent to supervisors who were trying to help and then the calls got dropped. ( After being on the phone over XXXX minutes with the first level person who could not help and then we had to wait ). Even though they confirmed my number and said they'd call back, they didn't. I have tried upwards of XXXX times to get this fixed by email or phone and I AM TIRED! They made this simple error and should be able to fix this simple error. I am including the data text file information that is inaccurate and removed personal identifying information.
