A person impersonating themselves as a member of the XXXX XXXX Fraud Division contacted my wife via phone on XX/XX/2024 at XXXX EST. After obtaining information regarding our bank account through a series of text messages and calls disguised as official XXXX XXXX XXXX, two wire transfers took place for {$300.00} and {$9200.00} from our bank account. Once we realized the fraud took place, we contacted the fraud department of our bank ( XXXX XXXX ) at XXXX the same day. The XXXX XXXX fraud agent, XXXX XXXX, was able to trace the funds to the receiving bank, JP Morgan Chase Bank, with a corresponding account number, name, and address in XXXX, CO. We were contacted by our XXXX XXXX Fraud Investigations agent, XXXX XXXX XXXX, the morning of XX/XX/2024 to file a report with the FBI and to request our funds back from JPMorgan Chase Bank. On XX/XX/2024 we were informed that JPMorgan Chase denied our claim to receive our funds back because 'the funds were no longer available '. This is grossly unjust. My wife and I are hard working, law abiding citizens with a XXXX year old, a XXXX year old, and another baby due in XXXX, and are now left financially vulnerable because of a criminal. The lack of protection for US citizens from these huge financial corporations is saddening to say the least. PLEASE help.
