I used to bank with Chase but on the XXXX of XXXX I got a check and tried to deposit it on the app and was told it wouldnt be available to me till the XXXX so I called to find out how to speed up the process and was told to visit my employers bank ( XXXX ) so they can physically verify it and give me a note, so after making my way to XXXX I was told that the bank doesnt really do that and I could just cash in the check their instead, so I decided to cash it and call Chase back to cancel my deposit. When I explained on the phone with the customer service representative she got confused by my question and forwarded the check and I panicked and told her its now been deposited twice. But she reassured me that the check would cancelled and that the money would automatically be returned in 5 days. My worries were put at ease until the next day I was confronted by my boss who yelled at me saying he got charged twice and that I need to fix this or there will be trouble, so I called Chase again where I learned that once I deposits check they cant cancel it meaning I accidentally deposited it twice. On the XXXX my boss tells me that XXXX was able to reverse it on his end and he was able to get his money back but on that same day Chase completely locks my account, they tell me that they cant unlock it until everything gets fixed and they get some type of verification from XXXX, so I go back to XXXX and they tell me everything from their end is done and there is nothing I can do. I find out I have 2 weeks to fix my account before Chase closes it so I began calling their customer service and keep getting told different things on how to fix it and non of them work and I go inside of 2 different branches to ask for answers as well too and everyone reassures me I just have to be patient and everything will fix itself. But then 2 weeks pass and my account is closed. I talk to the customer service many times but they tell me their is nothing I can do and their has even been a couple of times they have been rude and even laughed about my situation. Im having a hard time getting my money back from Chase but the thing that is the most upsetting about this entire situation is the fact that they are treating me as if Im a criminal.
