I opened a business bank account online with Chase Bank. The account was opened and I set up online banking. The same day I received an email stating that my account was locked and to call for verification. They said that theyneeded to send a text to my number but never received the text. They said that I would need to come into the bank to verify my identity. I was told that I had twn days to come in or my account would be closed. I went into the bank and was told that they had closed my account already and I came in within the ten business days. I was told to call a number. I did and again, they told me to go into the bank. I told him I am at the bank. The teller stalled and did not want to call the number to open my account. I then said to call the number, about thirty minutes passed and he called the number and they told him to ilopen my account. He starts asking me questions which was already verified. Then he said he had an appointment and that I would have to come back tomorrow. I made the appointment but felt un easy going back to him so I went to another branch. Ther person who was set to help me said that he had 40 kinutes to his next appointment. He called and was a quick call and he told me the same thing, that he would need to make an appointment to help me. I started to feel uneasy. No one was in the bank and it was very quiet. Istarted to feel uneasy again, so I stated that I felt discrimination against because the same thing was happening with the other representative. He said well let 's make an appointment. What day do you want to come in? I said Monday. He said, well my schedule is full for Monday. I said I was going to call and make a complaint. I called thebank and was transferred several times, was told I should speak to several different people and finally my complaint was taken. I was also given the number to an executive director who never returned my call. I apllied for another bank and was denied for verification as well. I believe there is a flag on my profile now because of this.
