Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Citibank concerning an unauthorized charge on my Citi Rewards+ Card. I did not make this purchase, and it appears that my card details were stolen and used without my knowledge. I filed a dispute with Citi Bank as soon as I noticed the charge, explaining that I did not make this transaction. Unfortunately, after their investigation, the bank concluded that the charge was my responsibility. This decision is not only unfair but also incorrect, as I was not in the United States at the time of the transaction. I am currently residing outside the country, making it impossible for me to have used the card for this purchase. '' This issue has persisted for an extended period, making it impossible for me to review or understand any information related to this dispute. I have attached Screenshot of this error along with this complaint. The mishandling of this dispute by Citibank has caused me considerable distress and inconvenience. Given these circumstances, I respectfully request the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to intervene and help resolve this matter. I seek your assistance in ensuring that Citibank acknowledges this transaction as unauthorized and issues a refund for the disputed amount. Enclosed are copies of my correspondence with Citi Bank, including my initial dispute and their response.
