Leaving my apartment complex, the leasing company returns our original security deposit in the form of check issued to whoever was listed on the lease. The {$1200.00} check was issued to my fiance and I and deposited in my CITI bank account. Within 4 days they restricted access to my account and dont allow me to access ANY money in this account, aside from the check. When i called to resolve they said they needed to confirm with the issuer of the check so they did, it was approved and verified by the issuing company and now they still wont give me access to my account. I have spoken to multiple customer service representatives and spoken to the fraud department multiple times, they have not given me any reasoning as to why this account has been restricted since XX/XX/XXXX. I have also asked to speak with a representative and been told i will receive a call back, which i have not received.
