Hi on Friday XX/XX/year> I reached out to IQ DATA/ASSURANT to look into a debt that I was never made aware of to resolve from an old apartment complex I lived in. I explained the situation and immediately the rep was rude I explained that i could pay the debt but requested that it be removed from my credit report as its keeping me from getting into housing. I tried to set up payment for my next pay date which is the next week and he said that wasn't an option I had to pay in full today XXXX dollars or they wont remove it at all. I got angry and upset and I hung up. I decided to call back to see if I could get a more reasonable rep on the phone but it was worse he stated the same thing then told me to borrow the money to pay the debt if I wanted it removed. I pleaded with him and explained again that I was trying to resolve this then he proceeded to tell me that the prior rep is already taking action against me in some form but wasn't specific but it felt very threatening. I only just found out about this debt XXXX weeks ago.
