On XX/XX/23 a charge of {$130.00} was made to my Apple Card ( Goldman Sachs ) through the XXXX app for an accommodation stay at the XXXX XXXX in XXXX NY. At arrival to the property for check-in the front desk attendant indicated that their printer was broken so I could not receive a printed confirmation of check-in. I was given a room key for another hotel ( XXXX ) and upon entering the room I found it to be in deplorable condition with a non-functioning AC unit blowing out hot air while emitting a terrible smell. I went down to the front desk to request another room and the front desk attendant was combative indicating that it was a take it or leave it reservation. He would not even go up to the room to assess its condition. I immediately contacted XXXX support notifying them of the situation. They could not reach the property by phone or e-mail. I was left without a place to stay for the night and had to rely on waiting in public spaces until the next day when I found availability at another property. When XXXX finally was able to get in touch with the property to request a refund waiver it was denied as they claimed I never arrived for check-in. A dispute was opened with my Apple Card XXXX in which after several attempts to have it resolved they sided with the merchant with the default determination that a refund credit could not be granted due to the property claiming I did not arrive for the reservation check-in.
