HI. I was told to write to you so you could help me. There is a collection agency hurting my credit and it is completely unfair. Many years ago I was very poor and almost indigent. I had to have assistance from the XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX just so I could have a home. When I left the program they send me to collections for {$520.00} dollars. This was in XXXX. I paid this collection back in XXXX once I was able to get on my feet and land a steady job. Since then, this account has been hurting my credit report and I have been unable to buy a house and even renting is almost impossible because this collection shows on my credit report. Even though its paid people and companies still deny me because its housing related. I have tried to call Kings Credit for years and they don't care. I ask them to remove it and they tell me they won't. I've even tried calling the XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX but I can never get a hold of anybody and nobody ever calls me back. I've tried calling the area manager at XXXX and they never return my call. I thought the whole point of the XXXX XXXX was to help people obtain housing when they are unable to or can't afford to do so. I didn't know they would be petty enough to hurt my credit for years after I paid them and stop me from being able to get another place to live or buy a home for my children. This is wrong on so many levels. Please help me. I may have been poor and in a bad place in XXXX, but I am not now. I lifted myself up and am doing what I can to provide for my family, but the XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX and their collector Kings Credit is being vindictive and stopping me from being able to do so. I've even let them know this is what they were doing and that it was very ironic that they would want to keep punishing me and stopping me from getting a place to live. Kings credit doesn't care and the XXXX XXXX can't even be bothered to answer their calls or return them. Again I am asking for your help. I have suffered enough and want to be able to buy a home for my kids. I have been told that my credit is right on the border of being able to qualify but I just need a few points. Removing this collection from my report would give me those few points and I can finally give my children and I a home. Thank you and I hope you can help.
