Consumer Narrative
Purchase Date : XX/XX/XXXX Job Total Amount : {$12000.00} Credit Company : GreenSky ( Dispute ) GreenSky has sent several text messages to confirm incremental payments charged to account for work completed by Renewal by XXXX. Only the first payment was confirmed ; yet GreenSky continued to reject my assertion of the issue with XXXX, services not completed ; windows were not installed. Statement closing XX/XX/XXXX despite my repeated conversations with GreenSky, they issue a bill for payment. Re : Renewal by XXXX Original contract with Renewal by XXXX XX/XX/XXXX Job Total {$29000.00} Credit Company XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX Renewal by XXXX replaced all doors, windows, and patio doors, except for three windows per original contract, unfortunately they did not install or disclose that the patio doors they were installing would not XXXX compliant, despite the salesperson at time of presentation and contract was aware that household included wheelchair reliant members. ( During salesperson XXXXXXXX XXXX presentation I asked for his assistant to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX into her wheelchair. She had XXXX transferring from her bed to her chair. ) At no time did he make known that the patio door he was installing was not level with the floor and would prevent wheelchairs from rolling out unto her ramp that was present. He did not explain that the base was not flush and would only be a great fit if you could walk. A couple of weeks later, another representative came to take additional measurements, again no conflict mentioned. During installation, four or five installers were here, no one disclosed or addressed. Every Renewal by XXXX employee who came to our home, visually encountered wheelchairs, ramps, and my mother in her wheelchair. Installing windows was the least of my priorities, my mothers ongoing health issues, full time work, etc. came first. I soon after contacted XXXX informing him that my mother was no longer able to exit the door without assistance. XXXX apologies sincerely stating it was an unfortunate oversight and he would take care of it with the next installment of the remaining three windows. ( Unfortunately, this 2nd contact did not occur until XX/XX/XXXX ). At this second contract, XXXX repeatedly apologized for the oversight, assured me that Renewal By XXXX installs doors that are XXXX compliant all the time and had equipment that would resolve her assess issue. He measured the door and thoroughly explained how functional and nice this fix w/ramp would be. When installers came to install fix w/ramp and remaining XXXX windows the installers had no idea there was an issue with the patio door they were to address. After 45+ minutes going back and forth with their office, they showed me cheap unpainted or treated wood that they would cut for indoor and outdoor installation. I informed installers, manager XXXX and XXXX, this was not at all what XXXX had described. Back and forth for over two hours with promises of professional installations never occurred. Renewal installers returned about 4 to 6 weeks ago, they ask that I allow them to install and if we were not happy they would remove. They installed a very unprofessional indoor ramp made of untreated, unpainted wood that was nailed into my ceramic floors and a cheaper painted white wood ramp for outside this was their solution for windows costing over {$40000.00}. I have requested they remove indoor ramp. Outdoor ramp was replaced with original metal ramp same day. If the salesperson had explained that Renewal by XXXX replacement patio door would restrict wheelchair access, AND whatever fix they conjured up would require wood screwed to my indoor floor, no contract would have been executed. Especially the 2nd contact with GreenSky ; per salesperson, they no longer used original finance company XXXX XXXX Bank.
