I started financing a cell phone purchased with a Citibank Best Buy credit card which came with a promotional offer. I was given XXXX months to pay off {$1400.00} which included the deferred interest. As it was due on the XXXX and the XXXX months expired on XX/XX/XXXX, while I still had {$780.00} left to pay, I was charged about {$41.00} interest for not making the payment on that day. XXXX days later with no payment and they decide to charge me {$1200.00} interest on a balance of {$780.00}. So I don't see how it could be fair in any way to charge a person that couldn't even afford to pay their bill on time XXXX XXXX interest after having already charged interest a few days prior. The balance now stands at {$1900.00} and they lowered my limit at the same moment they charged this exorbitant interest so I'm not facing {$540.00} overlimit penalties if this continues. I hope this doesn't continue compounding where they now wan na charge me XXXX XXXX if {$1900.00}. Please help me get this rectified. I will pay my overdue balance and even reasonable interest but this is an outright abuse of a vulnerable consumer. Thank you for taking time to look into this matter.
