On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX I called as my old bank ( XXXX ) reached out to me stating that there were charges from Synchrony Bank trying to collect payment since XX/XX/XXXX. Synchrony did this 6 times overall which resulted in my bank charging me insufficient fee charges 6 times which are over {$30.00} each meaning I owed my bank over {$200.00} in fees. I called and asked for a refund of those fees since one I made my XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX so there was no need to even charge me that month plus when I called in XXXX to make the payment, I updated the correct bank information to ensure the month of XXXX I get charged from my XXXX XXXX XXXX. The representative said they would put a case in to be reviewed and it takes 30-60 days for it to be reviewed. I called today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) for them to tell me they could only waive once every 12 months and that out of the total amount im owed, I will only be reimbursed {$30.00}. When I spoke to a manager about this, they had said there was nothing they can do even though it was their system that made the mistake, that they sent a credit of {$30.00} which really went to my sister 's debt not even my own- we have a joint account but different accounts. When i asked " am i supposed to just eat the cost of over {$200.00}, '' since I still owe that to XXXX, the manager simply replied with a yep. I reached out to two different managers and they both responded the same way. XXXX is not willing to waive those fees since it was an error on Synchrony bank.
