I received the loan from First Interstate BankXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX - ( XXXX ) XXXX ) as part of a XXXX loan package back in XXXX (? ) when purchasing a house. During a XXXX, it was recommended the house would need to be sold/short sale due to financial complications at the time. In XXXX, once the conditions of the short-sale were met, the house was sold ; however, the bank never released this additional loan, saying that it was to be converted to a XXXX XXXX loan. I ended up with a XXXX loan that continued to receive annual mortgage interest statements for several years, but never monthly statements. Over the years I tried to set up an online presence to manage the account, and every time I am left with the loan unavailable online and no statements being sent. I get various reasons as to why I can't have access to this loan online ; this is very frustrating since I have moved many times and traveled for a few years, always having to send via XXXX Mail a monthly coupon and XXXX check. I would like for them to 1 ) reconsider the original decision and make the loan part of the short-sale, write off the loan as I believe it should have been, make restitution to me and clean up my credit report as needed ; and 2 ) at a minimum, give me access and statements, so I can manage it online. The interest I have paid on this loan is well above the original amount of the small loan that was part of the XXXX package. I believe their refusal to put this online and give me access to it is to avoid audit of a fraudulent loan that should have been flagged a very long time ago. In XXXX, we attempted to buy a house and were unable to get the loan we desired, partly because this loan was still listed as a mortgage loan on my credit report. The bank re-named this loan after that, but it shows severe negligence if nothing else. I am now attempting to buy a house again after all these years and would like to make sure this situation doesn't derail another attempt to own a home.
