On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a debt collection agency letter requesting an alleged debt to be paid for or the debt would forward to the credit reporting bureaus on their behalf. I have stated through certified mail, which is the only communication route I have pertaining this alleged debt, that this debt does not belong to me and requested a debt validation which they have not yet provided a wet signature nor a correct breakdown for this alleged debt that I requested in my debt validation certified letter. I have contacted an Attorneys office and learned the statute of limitations in Texas regarding this account have expired. The last activity on this account is XX/XX/XXXX, which was the time it was posted to my credit. I have never made any payments to this alleged debt nor have I ever said that this alleged debt belonged to me. After the collection agency did not provide any verification to my requests per debt validation, I then sent a certified letter in regards to a cease and desist letter to the collection agency company and Lockhart, Morris and Montgomery has now violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act law. All debt collectors can NOT continue its collection efforts against you until the debt has been verified. Due to the collection being in the Texas Statute of Limitations expiration date and the violation of a cease and desist letter, I am now requesting an immediate deletion of this account on all credit bureaus and to cease all collection activity pertaining this debt. I kindly request that this debt to not be sold as well since it does not pertain to my credit file or I. I look forward to getting this resolved as soon as possible.
