I am writing to ensure I am justly given the advertised {$300.00} for account opening with Chase. Their poor management to resolving this conflict directly with me has left me with no choice but to turn to you for assistance. On XX/XX/year>, I opened an account with Chase Bank in XXXX for the first time. During my account opening, I asked my banker ( XXXX XXXX ) what is the procedure for any coupons. He replied that I have to do it online. So I went online that same day and emailed him about information for it. I gave him 10 days, but that email was never replied to. So, I contacted Chase Customer Service on XX/XX/XXXX who helped me apply for a coupon code. However, it kept saying I am ineligible for the code. Not replying to my email, I met with XXXX XXXX again and he said there was an error on his end and it should be fine, all I need to do is earn deposits of {$500.00} and it will be okay. So few weeks go by and I receive deposits of {$500.00}. However, come XXXX XXXX, during my conversation with the CHASE Bank Customer Service, I am again informed that I am ineligible to receive the promised {$300.00} associated with the coupon code due to an alleged prior account with Chase, which is factually incorrect. It is disheartening to be subjected to such baseless claims and to be denied a benefit that I am entitled to. To further exacerbate the situation, the staff at the XXXX branch provided conflicting information on XXXX XXXX as well. They initially stated that my banker ( XXXX XXXX ) should have inputted the coupon code when opening my account, but now they assert that no coupon code was provided and that no remedy is possible. This inconsistency and lack of accountability on the part of Chase Bank is both frustrating and deeply unfair. Despite fulfilling all the requirements of the coupon code ( opening an account for the first time and receiving deposits of {$500.00} within 90 days ), I have encountered numerous obstacles and blatant misinformation from Chase Bank representatives. I want to emphasize that I made every effort to seek clarity regarding the coupon information. In fact, during my last meeting with XXXX, I specifically inquired about the proper procedure and was simply told that I needed to accumulate {$500.00} in deposits. Now that I have fulfilled that, I diligently followed the given instructions, only to be met with false claims and an unjust denial of the benefit I rightfully deserve. On top of this, I have emailed and called the banker directly. My calls are ignored and my email has been replied to finally with " there is no guarantee '' to receive the code. Given the circumstances and the lack of resolution from Chase Bank, I am compelled to bring this matter to the attention of the Federal Reserve. I kindly request your intervention and assistance in ensuring that I am justly compensated with the {$300.00} that has been wrongfully withheld from me. This unfair treatment and lack of accountability should not go unaddressed, and I trust that you will take the appropriate steps to rectify this situation. Above this, the student population is extremely large in XXXX due to XXXX XXXX being here, so I want to ensure that Chase Bank no longer scams other students. As for a student, every dollar really counts. For that reason I also agree to CFPB publishing this so others can learn about Chase Bank XXXX. I sincerely appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to a swift resolution. Thank you for your understanding and support.
