Consumer Narrative

I was never contacted about this debt nor given any information about where it came from or what entity it is owed to. I believe my personal information was sold and this collection is due to fraud and identity theft. I have been contacted by the IRS about my identity possibly being stolen and was sent Letter 5071c. I have reason to believe this is proof enough that my identity was attempted to be stolen and that this attempt to collect a debt is due to that.
