For roughly 20 years, I have maintained multiple accounts with Chase Bank. In XX/XX/year>, my Chase private banker in XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, informed me that the banks complianceXXXX department was conducting a routine review of my accounts and required information, including supporting documentation regarding the source of funds regularly wired into one of my accounts. I promptly and dutifully provided all documentation to XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/year>, I received a letter from Chase informing me that due to unexpected activities my accounts, credit cards, and safety deposit box will all be closed in two weeks. No supporting evidence or explanation was included in the correspondence, and none were provided over the phone from Chase customer service. After decades of banking exclusively at Chase without any incident, this capricious and arbitrary act has created profound upheaval in my financial, professional and personal lives. I have only been loyal, dedicated and responsible Chase customer. Aside from the obvious advantage and familiarity that a personal banking system provides, all my credit cards are issued by Chase, and thus the loyalty and reward programs I have worked hard to maintain are now in jeopardy. I pay all credit card balances promptly and in full every month. I appeal to the CFPB to urge Chase to reconsider its decision. At the very least, I would request that Chase permit me to maintain my bank-issued credit cards. I am fully prepared to engage in transparent dialogue with Chase and to provide any additional documentation and information regarding my financial activities that could help reverse this consequential action. Thank you for your assistance and attention to this matter.
