JPMCB Auto Finance Account # XXXX The above company is violating my consumer rights by still reporting a charge off account that has been canceled to my credit profile. Per the IRS, once the account has reached a charge off status, and the lender has filed it on their taxes as discharged debt, the debt is now considered canceled or forgiven. This is now taxable income and income can not be reported to a consumers report as debt. There is a 1099-C form issued and this now income being filed on my taxes. Reporting inaccurate information to my credit report is in violation of 15 USC 1681E ( B ). Again, this discharged debt is now considered taxable income and should no longer be reflected as an outstanding obligation on my credit report. This companies action of reporting inaccurate information is severely impacting my ability to obtain credit. Please investigate so that this account may be deleted from my consumer report and my credit profile updated. Thank you,
