In XXXX I called and requested SCRA benefits be applied to my account. I was told that the only manner in which the company would receive communication about military orders was either by mail or fax. Upon faxing my documents I was told on XX/XX/XXXX that they were applied but none of the previous charges I incurred would be adjusted to the 6 % maximum interest rate and I would still need to pay those charges even though I would have been eligible for the benefit on those charges. When I spoke to a phone representative on XXXX she told me that " It was not the company 's fault that they did not know I was in the military ''. I reviewed the SCRA policy with military legal department and I was assured that the charges in question were covered under the SCRA.
