On XX/XX/2024, I needed to take out a loan for {$170.00} for personal financial issues, and I utilized the Dave App ( " Dave '' ) for this loan. Normally, these are meant to be paid back on the day I am paid, however, I have an unusual pay schedule from my job because I am paid in the middle and end of the month ( i.e. this month, I was paid on the XXXX, and will be paid on the XXXX, last month I was paid on the XXXX and the XXXX, etc. ). After fees were added, I was to owe {$180.00} back to XXXX On XX/XX/2024, I noticed that my loan for Dave was due immediately on the next day ( XX/XX/2024 ). I notified the Dave support team on the same day that my pay date would not be until XX/XX/2024, and I formally requested if they can change the date to my actual pay date. Please note that I have reported on this issue with them before because they are never able to understand my pay date, and I have had to ask that they change the payment date several times. The Dave support team had refused my request to change my repayment date for the loan despite my pleas and notifying them that the payment date was wrong due to it not being my pay date from my job. If they were to continue to pull the funds out of my account, it would have left me with less than {$5.00} to survive with until my next paycheck, which was not viable in any way possible. In order to prevent this from happening, I formally submitted an ACH Revoked Authorization letter to Dave notifying them that I revoked their access to pull money from my bank account. I utilized the same letter shell located on the CFPB website. I also submitted a stop-payment order to my bank to prevent Dave and its affiliates from pulling money out of my account without my consent. I also requested that ONLY a Dave supervisor may contact me to further discuss the closure of my account with Dave as I was no longer interested in their services due to their lack of compassion or understanding for their customer base. Despite my requests, Dave Support contacted me back after my initial sending of the letter to state that the letter held no ground and that they would proceed to take the money from my account anyway. I had notify them that I issued a stop-payment order through my bank, and that I would only talk to a supervisor to close my account, and warned not to contact me again unless we were able to come to an amicable conclusion on the matter. A Dave supervisor finally did contact me, however, only to double down on their policy and notify me that my Revocation Request was denied. I did not see any money taken from my account all weekend, so I believed the matter to be concluded. On XXXX XXXX XXXX I received a notification from my bank stating that my account was dangerously low, and I saw that Dave went ahead and pulled the funds from my account anyway. I called my bank to see what the issue was, and they told me that Dave used a different name to pull the funds from my account, thus allowing them to pull the money. Because of these actions, I am now left with a little over {$5.00} in my account to survive with for the week. I issued a claim through my bank on XXXX XXXX XXXX, in order to try and receive these funds back. Any and all email contact between me and Dave can be seen in the attached documentation.
