I went to deposit my check on XX/XX/24. It was a settlement check. They told me I could call to remove the hold. I called Chase bank customer service, they accused me of fraud and said my name was not on the check. They also told me they couldnt contact XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, but then told me that XXXX XXXX XXXX told them the check would bounce. After speaking with my lawyers, I gave them the opposing counsels phone number, one of the people whose name was on the paper. They didnt call him, I then gave them the ceo of the company that I got the settlement from, and they told me that wouldnt work either. And now after the day the funds were to be made available, they are still not available and Chase bank is threatening to close my account and mail me my check back after a month. I am not able to contact anyone who will listen to me. This is fraud, and a scam.
