I attempted to open a bank account online with Key bank in XXXX and was not able to make the minimum deposit of {XXXX to open the account. The system advised that the account would not be opened and active until that {XXXX} was deposited into the account. I finally was able to make the XXXX deposit with a check deposit of {XXXX} on XX/XX/XXXX and then had my first direct deposit from my work of {XXXX} XX/XX/XXXX. Since I made the {XXXX} direct deposit that qualified me for the XXXX sign up bonus from the bank. When I questioned Key Bank when the bonus was they stated that I do not qualify because the account was opened in XXXX. I then advised them that the account could not have been opened because I never made the minimum XXXX} deposit to open the account until XX/XX/XXXX. I then had the issue escalated and was told that it would be looked into and I would get a call back. I never got back in touch with the supervisor and even called and left her messages with bank agents and still didnt hear anything. I reached out to them again yesterday and they explain the situation to the banker and she transferred me to her supervisor and the supervisor said that the bank account was opened in XXXX even though there was no minimum {XXXX deposit to open the account like it states all over their website. So I let them know I would be filing a complaint against them. So here we are
