I have been dealing with Portfolio Recovery Associates or is it PRA Group- either way it's the SAME I have attempted many times in the past to aquire updated status of the debt because it has been 'bought ' multiple times, I have shown up at the court house after having received 'court papers ' only to be told they couldn't find the docket number and didn't have me on the case booking. I have had a woman from the company repeatedly asking me to borrow money from people, family or friends, for that very phone call, telling me to 'try to borrow money from someone right now '. I asked repeatedly since to have updated paperwork mailed to me and haven't received anything yet, but now I have this company and the previous owning company 'verifying ownership ' of this one debt to the credit companies. They now call several times a week, even on weekends, some times every single day.
