Consumer Narrative

On XX/XX/XXXX, I was checking my personal email account that is used primarily for online shopping, and I noticed emails from XXXX XXXX Notifications regarding an online purchase for pickup in a store in XXXX, IL. The first email was sent on XX/XX/XXXX regarding order # XXXX. The order was an online order for a curbside pickup of a XXXX XXXX. The email said that the order was waiting to be fulfilled. The second email was received on XX/XX/XXXX, and it said the order was ready to be picked up. I logged into my Chase Visa account immediately and noticed two charges from XXXX XXXX in my pending transactions. One in the amount of {$540.00} ( for the XXXX XXXX ) and a second for {$410.00}. I called Chase Visa immediately to inform them that both charges from XXXX XXXX were fraudulent. I then called XXXX XXXX corporate to inform them that these charges were fraudulent. The XXXX was picked up, but the second order was for an XXXX, and XXXX XXXX was able to cancel this order because I called. The {$410.00} charge was removed from my pending charges by the next time I logged into my Chase account. The {$540.00} charge took several days to be removed. On XX/XX/XXXX, the charge for {$540.00} was added back to my Chase Visa transactions. When I called Chase, they told me it was because XXXX XXXX said that I made the charge, because my Name, Address, and phone number was used. They said that they would send this case back to the fraud department, and some would get back to me within 5 days. I also called XXXX XXXX to complain. They acknowledged that I had called them about the XXXX fraudulent purchases on XX/XX/XXXX. They also acknowledged that they were able to cancel the second purchase because I called on XX/XX/XXXX. I make frequent online purchases at XXXX XXXX, and my name, address, phone and credit card information is stored on the XXXX XXXX website. This purchase is fraudulent, and I believe it is an inside job at XXXX XXXX, because all of my information is saved on their website. Additionally, any other time I have made an online purchase for curbside pickup, XXXX XXXX has sent confirmation communications via text message. I called Chase again on XX/XX/XXXX, and they are now saying that it will take 16 days for the fraud department to get back to me. I am scared that I will be stuck paying for a fraudulent purchase. Please help!
