Myself, and the purchaser of the card are military veterans, it was a gift, meaning I do not have the receipt. It is part of the scam the company keeps insisting on perpetrating in order to drag it out. I feel confident it is an inside job because the card was a gift from last holiday and had not even been removed from the sleeve until this year when it was registered on the company website, though it carries a XXXX logo! It was only shortly after registering it that malfeasance occurred with the card! When I checked on XX/XX/23 the card had full value of {$100.00} when I attempted to use the card on XX/XX/23, I was told the balance was XXXX dollars and change. {$94.00} had been charged on the card, without it ever leaving my wallet of possession, hence what is the access point? The registration point for the host company, Blackhawk Network California Inc. These companies have shelf space in every store in this country, therefore in every sense are aided and abetted in committing fraud, when they sell the product, and when customers register it, with someone committing theft on the other side! For the record, there was news coverage in the city I am near about multiple acts of theft this way with other victims telling their stories. And yet, the system continues to enable it. As the other victims, I will never buy, and I will inform others to never buy a gift card again!
