Syncrony bank pays dental office clerks a commission to open accounts on the Syncrony Care Card. This is nothing but a high interest credit card that can be used for anything. On XXXX, XXXX week before my implant procedure, XXXX XXXX, the dental clerk for XXXX XX/XX/XXXX asked me if I wanted to see if I would be approved for this card, based on the estimated cost, {$8200.00}. I stupidly gave her my SSN. She said that I was approved, and never gave me any specs or info on the card. She said it had 7 % interest when it is really 26 %. I said that I would look into it. I had a secured loan option that was much better. On XX/XX/16, I had the procedure. When leaving I asked XXXX, what about the bill? She said not to worry I already paid. When I got home, I immediately checked my credit. An account was opened at synchrony bank for a " care card '' and there was a purchase for {$8200.00}, the estimated charge. It was obvious that XXXX opened it with my SSN and charged {$8200.00}. There was a receipt buried in my other paperwork. The rate was 26 % but 16 % for the first 3 years. I called synchrony bank 100 times and finally got a fraud dispute opened. 2 months later, I was denied due to the huge conflict of interest. I appealed. 2 months later I was denied. Sometime during these 4 months, synchrony reversed the dental charge of {$8200.00} and hit me with a charge for {$8200.00} as a general purchase from synchrony bank. This way, the interest would be 26 % from the start. XXXX. Just recently I got an email from synchrony saying that I was getting a new card with the 26 % and $ XXXX in debt. In the dispute XXXX made a forged copy of the receipt with my signature on it which they had on file. This all happened so XXXX could get her commission and the bank its interest. I just want the transaction reversed and the money sent back to synchrony. She can keep her money.
