About 6 days before our vacation, the hotel contacted me via text to tell me the beach access had been closed suddenly due to construction and the nearest access was a mile away. This reservation was nonrefundable but we were told this policy would be waived because of the circumstances. We booked elsewhere and actually paid more for a different hotel with the access. I contacted the hotel several times via XXXX and they said, in writing, that it was refunded. This never happened. I finally disputed the charge through my Chase credit card. I supplied pictures of all conversations promising the refund and the conversation stating the refund had been issued. After the investigation Chase sided with the hotel because they simply sent a copy of the nonrefundable booking policy. I have many conversations in writing stating this would be refunded by XXXX AND the XXXX XXXX but Chase still sided with them and did not consider all of my evidence.
