My wife and I decided to pay off my mother in laws parent plus loan after she had passed away. We did not realize that once she passed away, the loan would be discharged. Therefore we requested a refund. We were told to provide a copy of the death certificate, and additional information to process the refund, which we did. Its been over a month and the companies involved could not provide me information as to whether the refund request was approved or not approved. I am still waiting for my full refund, and I am hoping to expedite this process.
