I disputed their information. I sent proof of payment. I contacted original creditors and was told since the employee that sent me the email is no longer working there they cant do anything and the email I received is not valid and they can only go off what is in their system. After that the collection agency updated my credit file to demonstrate a more recent delinquent date. I moved from these apartments in XX/XX/XXXX. They did not report this until after a year later in XXXX, when I never even owed this amount in the first place. When I was purchasing my home in XXXX, I found about this debt and had to pay it off for home qualifying purposes. I was assured i would receive a debt deletion letter which was never received. However, Now with their new update I am being told that his will not be removed until XXXX or XXXX, almost 10 years. I have been disputing this charge for years and have provided this agency ample opportunity to make corrections without any resolution but rather more frustration. As the letter that they gave me says I wont dispute the credit card, I have never had a credit card with them.
