I have attempted to resolve a dispute with Bank of America numerous times for a fraudulent transaction charged to my Visa card on XX/XX/2023. The transaction was a " Coerced debt '' charge initiated by XXXX in XXXX, XXXX in the amount of {$1400.00}. My son and his friend were enticed into a club by the promise of a {$30.00} cover charge that included their drinks. When attempting to leave, the staff indicated they owed {$1400.00} to which they vehemently disagreed. At that time, my son 's friend was assaulted and physically removed from the establishment. My son, XXXX was then threatened with a baseball bat, and told if he didn't produce a credit card, he would be assaulted as well. In fear for his life, my son gave them his credit card. The staff refused to give him a copy of a bill and he didn't sign the charge slip. My dispute was denied by Bank of America. They refused to request the detailed bill or the signed charge slip from the merchant. This was clearly a scam and this charge was coerced through the threat of violence.
