I had a credit card with Bank of America and I scheduled a payment of {$300.00}. That payment returned for insufficient funds. It's an account I use to pay bills and I made a mistake with my balance. I called the bank customer service and asked if that amount would be charged again and the associate I spoke with said it wouldn't because she could not see anything to be charged on her system and I would have to reschedule a new payment manually. I did not schedule anything on the same day and when I checked my account the next day, the amount was being charged again and returned with insufficient funds again. They canceled my card for that reason. I did not have any payments overdue. They even said that was not justifying reason to cancel my card, and they would do that based on my debit amount with other institutions. However all my payments are on time. I've called them around XXXX weeks ago because I want to negociate my debit and the person who I talked to was really rude, screaming at me and justifying her rudeness saying that I had payments returned because of insufficient funds! I requested that she treated me polite and with respect, but the more I asked, the more she screamed at me with because I had my payment returned. I felt really discriminated by the way she treated me, especially because I'm a hard work person, who works 3 jobs to pay my bills on time, as my credit score shows. I felt humiliated by Bank of America. The way they treat people they can not profit from. They had no reason to treat me like that, I always paid them, at least the minimum amount on my card. What I want now from Bank of America is not the credit card anymore, but the discount on my debit due to my difficult Financial situation. They have already caused damage to my credit score by simply canceling my card. They treated me with discrimination because of my financial situation and you can see that on the phone calls that I believe they have recorded. I want them to listen to the 2 phone calls I had with their associates : The first one in which I asked if I would be charged again and the second one in which their associate treated me aggressively and with discrimination. They can't just do that to people who are going through a difficult time, but paying on time.
