My loan is being serviced by aidvantage. The link on their website for deferment has been down for over a week. When attempting to apply through their online coroner portal, I receive an error message. I called a few times to discuss and ask for deferment assistance. I stressed that it was important to complete the deferment as soon as possible to avoid the upcoming XXXX payment since I am unemployed. I was told they would mail the application to me. The issue of the broken website was not escalated. I was also told that the operator could not assist me in completing the deferment over the phone. The operator also told me that I could download the form via a deferment link through the website. However, the form is not available. In a separate conversation with the servicer, I was told that the deferment paperwork would be sent directly to my inbox within 24-48 hours. This time has passed and I still have not received the paperwork. I need assistance to complete the deferment ASAP. I find it strange at a time when federal loan payments are beginning again after years that I can not quickly automate or have access to the deferment application. Id appreciate assistance in expediting this process. Thank you.
