My credit card ending in XXXX is a XXXX XXXX and the issuer bank is Citibank. I complained about a charge of XXXX dollars that was posted on XX/XX/2023, to a XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, XXXX. The bank did an " investigation '' and determined that I was responsible for that amount. I believe I can not be made responsible for the following reason 1- The merchant does not exist. I never went to a restaurant by that name. 2- In XXXX , it is illegal for a merchant to charge under a different name 3- I XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX and came out empty 4- I asked people and taxi drivers when I was in XXXX and no one know a restaurant by that name. 5- In my credit card statement the merchant does not show any address or phone number 6- The bank failed to tell me who they paid, no address, no phone number. It seems to me that they paid a ghost merchant.
