I made a payment of {$6800.00} on XX/XX/2023 to my Citi card, with the intent of the payment going to a balance transfer with stated promotional rate ( .99 % ) expired on XX/XX/2023 then reverting to the standard rate of 26.99 %. The payment was applied to balances with a promotional rate with no expiration of 0-5.99 %, instead of the balance where the promotional rate expired on XX/XX/2023. I contacted the Citi and they stated that the statement has not processed and the payment would have been applied to the higher rate after the statement period end even though the statement states the promotional rate had expired on XX/XX/2023 and there was no way to apply the payment to the higher interest rate balance.
