My loan was due to mature in XX/XX/XXXX. My loan has been sold to several servicers over the last ( almost ) XXXX years. I was told that when my loan matured, I would owe an outstanding principal of {$6700.00} by XX/XX/XXXX. Rushmore had recently acquired my loan, so they were not able to tell me why I owed this amount. I have requested my closing paperwork. Not even a real estate broker can explain to me why I owe this amount. I have submitted applications for assistance since XXXX of last year. I was approved for a trial modification in XX/XX/XXXX. I made my first payment on the trial modification in XX/XX/XXXX, before it was due. A few days later, I received another application for assistance. I have also received a piece of mail stating that some of my interest was not applied properly when my servicer switched from XXXX XXXX to Rushmore. This is concerning. I can not get an answer as to why I owe this amount to Rushmore. I have been working with a HUD certified housing counselor since XX/XX/XXXX.
