Consumer Narrative
Back in XXXX I received an email that a bank account was being opened with my information at Bank of America. They had my email address and my social security information. I immediately called and put a freeze to all of my credit cards and my social security number. I went to a BOA location and complained there. They showed me the account that was opened and I reported it as fraud. They said they closed the account and took care of the situation. Over the next few months I monitored my credit cards and social security information closely with no other issues. Then in XXXX I received another email that an account was being opened with my information again. I immediately called and filed a fraud complaint with BOA and expressed my frustration that this is the second time my social security number and information was being used to open an account. I have not had any uses or issues with my credit or social security number anywhere else other than at Bank of America. I have had to shut down my credit cards multiple times and not have access to my credit as well. I also just a few weeks ago received another email that the user ID being used to create these fraud accounts was disabled. I will be attaching photos of the emails. Please help me with this situation. Thanks.
