Consumer Narrative
Last summer, in XXXX, Bank of America opened an account under my name. I was able to resolve the issue, and freeze my credit. My credit has been frozen since, which I verified today, Friday XX/XX/XXXX. Yesterday, they opened a fraudulent account in my name. Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX I received two emails from Bank of America : one titled " Online Application is in Progress '', for a Bank of America XXXX XXXX Banking Account ( which is a checking account ). The second email I received was titled " Your application was approved '', and the body reads " Your new account is open Great news! The following account ( s ) are open : Bank of America XXXX XXXX Banking Account # : '' This should not be possible because my credit is frozen.
