Consumer Narrative
In the beginning of XX/XX/2023 I called the bank to submit a fraud claim. The claim was not filed when I called the first time, but actually filed a couple weeks later when I called again about a month or so later I finally got my temporary credit and then I got something in the mail, saying my claim was approved. Then I received something in the mail, saying they denied my claim that was already closed and they were going to take that credit away again. When I didnt have enough funds in my bank account, I called and the lady promised me it would not happen and they would not take the money out and then the next week they did so my bank account was - {$200.00}. I called Bank of America again and they told me that I had to file a police report to show that I actually got my identity stolen and the fraud was real. They would not refund me my money so I put my own money in to make my account go back to XXXX dollars then they told me they dont know when they would be able to approve my claim and give me my money back about a couple weeks later they finally did give me the original XXXX that they took out but they still have not given me the XXXX that I had to put back into the bank to get my bank account back to XXXX from XXXX.
