Consumer Narrative

On XX/XX/XXXX the IRS deposited my XXXX tax return into my Bank of America account that was supposed to be closed since XX/XX/XXXX. When I contacted them in reference to my deposit they informed me it would be XXXX days before I receive a cashier check. However I was confused as to why the deposit was accepted when my account was supposedly closed. I spent days talking to different departments about what the issue could be. First it was fees owed, then it was open claims, the list goes on. The entire month of XXXX from the XXXX I was told once the fees were cleared the account would close and Id receive my funds. Its a month later and my account is still not closed, theyve debited my account for the fees they claim I owed and I still have yet to have access to my funds or receive a cashiers check. Im currently going through a hardship where Im at the closing process for my first home for me and my children and Im currently pregnant. Ive stressed to them over and over the mental and emotional trauma this is causing. That money, my money is for my down payment and Im only allowed so many extensions before the sellers go with another buyer. Ive filed and requested the hardship request with Bank of America to go in and withdraw my funds and it was denied. Ive been with them XXXX I dont understand why this is happening.
